The Journey of Three New Lives: Celebrating Milestones at LifeCare Medical Center

Meet “LifeCare’s triplets”—three sweet baby girls born to three of our amazing nurses! Corinn Shaw, Erin Spaeth, and Kasey Quamme, each an important part of our team, all gave birth within a week of each other. And the best part? They all welcomed baby girls! Even more special, none of them knew the gender beforehand, making it a surprise for everyone.

Here are the precious girls who made their debut in our LifeCare Birthing Center:
• Ella Lynn Shaw, born 9/3/2024, to Mother Corinn Shaw
• Madilyn Marie Spaeth, born 8/28/2024, to Mother Erin Spaeth
• Audrey Lynn Quamme, born 9/5/2024, to Mother Kasey Quamme

Corinn, Erin, and Kasey have worked together at LifeCare for over five years, primarily in the LifeCare Birthing Center as Labor and Delivery nurses, where they’ve shared their passion for helping families bring new life into the world. In addition to their work in Labor and Delivery, they also support our ER and Med/Surg departments, showing their versatility and commitment to patient care.

Corinn, Erin, and Kasey are all proud girl moms—Corinn with three girls, Erin with two, and Kasey with two—and they’re thrilled to welcome these newest additions to their families. Having worked together for so many years, their bond as friends makes this milestone even more meaningful.

These three nurses have become more than just team members—they’ve supported each other through long shifts, tough days, and the many challenges that come with caring for others. As they continue their journey into motherhood, we couldn’t be happier for them.

We’re beyond excited for Corinn, Erin, and Kasey as they begin this exciting new chapter in their lives. Their dedication to their work and their families is inspiring. Please join us in congratulating them on the arrival of their sweet girls! We’re excited to see their families grow and look forward to all the ways they’ll continue to make a difference in the lives of others.

LIFECARE MEDICAL CENTER DONATES $25,000 TO LIL’ CHOMPERS CHILD CARE OF GREENBUSH

January 31st, 2025 – Roseau, MN  |  LifeCare Medical Center has announced a generous donation of $25,000 to Lil’ Chompers Child Care, a non-profit organization in Greenbush, which will be building a new licensed child care center in 2025.

Lil’ Chompers Child Care, founded in 2021, has been working for the past 4 years to bring a licensed childcare center to Greenbush. With the growing need for childcare services in the region, the new facility aims to provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for local families.

“We are incredibly grateful for LifeCare Medical Center’s donation which helps us get incredibly close to accessing the one million dollar congressionally-directed spending along with other grants and donations from local businesses and individuals,” said Lynn Balstad, Board Member of Lil’ Chompers Child Care. “We are excited to partner with LifeCare Greenbush Manor for intergenerational programming and activities that will benefit the children and the residents of the manor and the community as a whole.”

LifeCare Medical Center recognizes the critical role that childcare plays in supporting working families and fostering a thriving community. “Access to reliable childcare is essential for the well-being of families and the overall economic stability of Greenbush,” said Keith Okeson, President/CEO at LifeCare Medical Center. “We are proud to support Lil’ Chompers Child Care in their efforts to create a much-needed resource for the Greenbush community and it supports our mission to provide care for generations throughout our service area.”

The new childcare center is expected to open late 2025 providing care for children from infancy through preschool. It will feature dedicated learning spaces, play areas, and qualified staff committed to early childhood development.
