Dr. Prasad Munusamy is a Family Medicine physician at LifeCare Medical Center. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, completed his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Saint Kitts, and finished his residency at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Dr. Munusamy chose Family Medicine because it allows him to care for patients of all ages while addressing a wide variety of medical needs. He enjoys combining hospital medicine with primary care and takes a patient-centered, evidence-based, and holistic approach—listening carefully, getting to the root of concerns, and using research-backed treatments whenever possible.
He was drawn to practicing in Roseau because rural medicine allows him to pursue his passion for hospital care while being part of a close-knit community.
Outside of work, Dr. Munusamy enjoys spending time with his family, camping, visiting new places, and exploring the outdoors. He’s also a lifelong rugby fan and enjoys playing with his pets—Coconut, the dog, and Luna, the “ninja” cat.
