Jessica Omdahl is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at LifeCare Behavioral Health. She earned her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of North Dakota.
Jessica has always had a strong interest in psychiatry and has been influenced by many people and experiences throughout her life that led her to this career. Early on, she thought she might become a psychologist or social worker, but her interest shifted to nursing, where she had her first encounter with behavioral health. She quickly discovered her passion for meeting people where they are, listening to truly understand, and approaching others with compassion and empathy to help them make positive changes and reach their full potential.
Jessica began her nursing career as an LPN at the Roseau Manor while completing her RN degree. She went on to work as an inpatient Behavioral Health nurse for several years before returning home to Roseau to serve as a RN Health Coach at the clinic. Through her graduate education, she gained experience providing care to children, adolescents, and individuals across the lifespan.
Born and raised in Roseau, Jessica and her husband knew they wanted to return home to raise their family in the same supportive community that shaped them. She practices holistically and believes strongly in shared decision making, partnering closely with her patients to help them achieve their treatment goals. Jessica ensures her patients’ voices, concerns, and opinions are heard while providing evidence-based information and options for care.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys reading, spending time at the lake, taking ranger rides, and being with her husband, three children, family, and friends.
