SURGERY
The newly constructed Surgery Department performs approximately
400 surgery cases per year. Scheduled surgery is Monday through
Friday. A Board Certified Surgeon is available with other
physicians who perform procedures as credentialed. Visiting
specialists may perform scheduled procedures in the OR as well.
Our surgical patient population consists of infants through
geriatrics.
General surgery including laparoscopic procedures, ear, nose and
throat procedures, eye procedures, urological procedures,
gynecological surgery, and obstetric surgery procedures are
performed on a regular basis.
Other diagnostic procedures such as thoracentesis, breast and
other biopsies are also performed in the outpatient area. All
procedures are performed by a physician with the assistance of a
nurse.
Surgery staff are on call 24/7 to respond to emergency
situations. |
